I was born at the end of the Cold War in a secular country with four major religious denominations, exposed to different cultures from the start. Throughout the nineties, teachers told me we were lucky—that we had reached the “end of history” and the world would enter an era of liberal democracy for all. For a moment, I believed too. That dream ended on September 11th, 2001, when I watched the planes crash into the World Trade Center and it made me wonder what actually the future held.
Luckily, the Internet boom of the 2000s caused social media and communication to explode. While many see the flood of information as overwhelming, I see it as a lens into the future. This site is my attempt to make sense of the past and map what comes next.
